Honey Summers is the counsellor and supervisor at New Bridges Counselling.
Honey is a qualified and accredited counsellor and qualified counselling supervisor. She has a broad range of counselling experience, working with individual adults and young people, as well as couples.
Honey has a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and has Counsellor Accreditation with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). She is also a Registered Independent Counsellor with the UKRCP (United Kingdom Register of Counsellors/Psychotherpists). She has trained in counselling at Regent’s College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Newcastle University, Authentic Counselling Training and the Jenny Biancardi Consultancy. She has additional training in Group Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and the use of 'action' techniques from psychodrama. Honey also has a Certificate in Creative Supervision.
Honey subscribes to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
She has years of counselling experience, having worked with a number of different issues as listed elsewhere on this website, and has worked and trained with Streetwise, RELATE, North East Council on Addictions and Sunderland Counselling Services, as well as in private practice.
Honey offers an Integrated, Person-Centred therapeutic approach. She aims to provide individuals and couples with a warm, accepting and genuine environment in which they can explore issues, clarify choices and make decisions.
